About the Yard

Mark Campion Racing

Whitewall House Stables is steeped in racing history, and is a hack away from the superb Langton Wold Gallops, some of the finest facilities in the country for horses trained for both NH and Flat racing.

The legendary John Scott dominated English racing for many years from Whitewall and the stables were built to last, being thick walled, deep and high, warm in winter and cool in summer, well ventilated and quiet.

Mark trains both Flat and NH horses from the varied Langton Wold gallops, which are ideal for horses under both codes, and are maintained to the highest standards. They include a variety of gradients, from 6-10f, ,including downland grass gallops, railed polytrack gallops, woodchip, schooling and nursery facilities. Each horse is trained as an individual to give them the best chance of reaching their own potential.

Langton Wold Gallops are reached by quiet lane, bridleway, canter and horsewalk, ideal for warming up and cooling down to/from exercise, which is of great benefit to the horses and helps them get used to passing other strings and considerate local traffic.

The Yard is a family run business and our hard working team are supported by a strong team of vets, farriers, physios and schooling jockeys. Malton has one of the best pools of high quality racing staff in the country, many of whose families have been involved in racing for generations.

Malton is central in the UK and within easy reach of major motorways, so ideally placed for smooth transport routes to racecourses from north to south, and Yorkshire itself is rich with its own local courses.

Owners are given a warm welcome to come and see their horses in preparation at home, and at rest, and we will do our best to make your ownership experience as enjoyable as possible.
